PURPOSE:To obtain the recording sheet not generating the lowering of sharpness and color properties by suppressing the exudation of ink generated by the penetration of a self-adhesive agent into an ink receiving layer. CONSTITUTION:In an ink jet recording sheet for a label wherein an ink receiving layer 1 is provided on the single surface of a support 3 based on wood pulp and a self-adhesive layer 5 is provided on the other surface thereof, a barrier layer 4 composed of a film forming material is provided between the support 3 and the ink receiving layer 1 and/or between the support 3 and the self-adhesive layer 5.
