PURPOSE:To use a secondary memory at the time of printing and to use a main memory at a minimum by providing means for storing page unit data converted to a format to be used in a printer from received data from an external unit and obtained data in a printer, developing data to its output image and data necessary to print in a secondary memory. CONSTITUTION:Print data output from an external unit 300 is received by a data receiver 101a, and stored in a reception buffer 105-1 in a secondary memory 105. An analyzer 102a analyzes data in the buffer 105-1, and resultantly forms data for applying a command to a developing unit 103a, i.e., data to be stored in a page buffer 105-2 in a secondary memory 105. The unit 103a forms an output image, for example, in a format of a binary bit map memory according to a content of the buffer 105-2 for one page in a frame memory 105-3 of the memory 105. The thus formed print data is, for example, imparted with a label at each specific form. |
