<p>PURPOSE:To provide the production method giving diphenyl amine or its ring- substituted products in high voluminous efficiency, in high selectivity and in a high yield, while reducing the production of by-products. CONSTITUTION:This method for producing diphenyl amine or its ring-substituted products by reacting phenol or its ring-substituted product with aniline or its ring-substituted product in the presence of a hydrogen transfer catalyst and a catalytic amount of a cyclohexanone compound corresponding to phenol or its ring-substituted product or in the presence of the hydrogen transfer catalyst in compressed hydrogen gas, while using the phenol or its ring-substituted product as a hydrogen-acceptor and producing the corresponding cyclohexanone compound in the reactional system, is characterized by dropwisely adding aniline or its ring-substituted product.</p> |
