PURPOSE:To incline the leading end of a metal support plate in a direction mutually widening toward the leading end thereby to remarkably improve the diffusion degree of light. CONSTITUTION:For metal support plates 7 and 8, used are those having central portions 7a and 8a arranged in parallel to each other, and leading end portions 7b and 8b and rear end parts 7c and 8c inclined respectively in directions mutually widening toward the leading end and rear end portions, and a semiconductor element 9 is clamped by the central parts 7a and 8a and fixed. In the case of coating the element 9 with a protective resin, the protective resin extends along the leading end portion and a rear end portion and is formed uniformly thick as a whole to obtain the mechanical strength sufficiently. Further, the leading ends of the metal support plates are inclined in directions mutually widening toward the leading end, whereby the forward end portion is caused to act directly as a reflection plate to remarkably improve the diffusion degree of light. |
