PURPOSE:To improve the stability of a vehicle against a cross wind without making a sudden change of the behavior of the vehicle. CONSTITUTION:This steering control device has an active steering device AS to auxiliary-steer the front wheels or the rear wheels according to a control instruction value. A cross wind detecting device M1 to detect the relative wind speed Vw and the relative wind direction betaw of a cross wind, and a car speed detecting device M2 to detect the car speed V are provided, and a lateral force Fw to operate to the vehicle is operated depending on the relative wind speed Vw, the relative wind direction betaw, and the car speed V, by a lateral force operation device M3. The primary delay value of the lateral force Fw is output to the active steering device AS as a control instruction value by a control instruction value output device M4. |
