MANUFACTURE OF PANEL WITH FRAME BODY

PURPOSE:To manufacture a panel with a frame body efficiently with high dimensional accuracy by forming a forming space, corresponding to the sectional form of the frame body, between the peripheral edge part of a panel and the extrusion outlet of the mouthpiece of a die device, and moving a panel and the die device relatively while extruding frame body material into this forming space. CONSTITUTION:A guide groove for moving-guiding the peripheral edge part of a window glass 2, held by a panel holding device 7, in the inserted state is formed at the die body 14 of the die device 6 of an extrusion-molding machine 5, and a mouthpiece 16 fitted to the front end face of the die body 14 is piercingly provided with an extrusion outlet 17 communicated with the outlet of a material feed path. A forming space 19 corresponding to the sectional form of a molding is formed by the peripheral edge part of the window glass 2 and the peripheral wall surface of the extrusion outlet 17 of the mouthpiece 16. While extruding molding material into this forming space 19, the panel holding device 7 is moved along the peripheral edge of the window glass 2 by a moving device 11, and a frame body having retainer holding parts in required positions is formed and jointed to the peripheral edge part. The window glass 2 with the frame body can be thereby manufactured efficiently with high dimensional accuracy, without wrinkles and relief.
