<p>PURPOSE: To obtain a sterilized clip excellent in the endoscopic procedures for ligating a vessel in the mammal by composing a pair of leg members to be arranged in proximity and with a joint member to connect the leg member. CONSTITUTION: This sterilized clip 20 is used for ligating or closing an operating annular vessel in the surgical procedures with an endoscope, having a pair of legs 21, 22 to be arranged in a very near proximity with each other along the entire length. Each leg member 21, 22 has relatively flat longitudinal sections 23, 24 and an orthogonal member consisting of vertical sections 25, 26 formed at one edge of the former, respectively. One end of each vertical section 25, 26 is connected with each other via an elastic material-made connector member 27 with a nearly horseshoe-shaped cross-section area. Such a clip 20 is slightly opened in the pair of leg members 21, 22, whenever a vessel is put in. The elastic recovery action after it is put in, ligates the vessel between the pair of vertical sections 25, 26.</p> |
