ANALYTICAL METHOD FOR CHECKING MIXTURE FOR POISONOUS COMPONENT

The mixture which is to be investigated for toxic components is first subjected to chromatographic fractionation. Subsequently the separate fractions are contacted directly in the chromatographic system with photomicroorganisms, and the toxicity of the fractions is measured by determining the bioluminescence. The chromatographic separation can take place by either thin-layer chromatography or column liquid chromatography.
