PURPOSE:To eliminate the necessity carrying a manual when a printer is carried and to prevent operation from becoming unclear even when the manual is lost by storing the data related to a dip switch setting method and a panel key operating method in a ROM. CONSTITUTION:When the data related to the operation of a panel key 13 is desired to be known, a HELP-KEY 4 is turned ON. Whereupon, a CPU1 detects this state to access a data ROM 3 and forcibly alters the setting of a font due to a DIP-SW 12 to the set data on the data ROM 3 and forms printing data to set the same to an RAM 14. It is judged whether paper is set to a predetermined position by a PE sensor 5 and, when the paper is not set, a PE-LED 11 lights and, when the paper is set to the predetermined position, the PE-LED 11 is cut off. Then, the paper is advanced to a printing start position (paper cueing) and the printing data on the RAM 14 is printed. |
