<p>PURPOSE:To accurately and surely fill the prescribed through-holes of the end surface of a honeycomb filter with paste by sticking by pressure the end surface of the honeycomb filter to a base plate to pass the tip of a needle though, injecting a sealing material into each prescribed opening before puling out the needle. CONSTITUTION:The end face of a honeycomb filter is stuck by pressure to a base plate 4 equipped with paste supply parts in the form of a needle. The tips of the paste supply needles are passed though a film or sheet adhered to the end face of the honeycomb filter. And a sealing material vessel is vibrated to fluidize the sealing material and the sealing material supplied to a sealing material feeder 1 is injected into the prescribed openings. After that, the tips of the paste supply needles are pull out o the film or sheet stuck to the end face of the honeycomb filter. Then the film or sheet is returned and the injected sealing material does not flow out at all.</p> |
