<p>PURPOSE:To curtail a space and improve safety and workability by automatically fitting chasis parts to a car body in the condition of transporting the car body by means of an overhead conveyor, and providing a back-up zone with operators in addition to the automatic assembling zone. CONSTITUTION:A car body 3 is hung and continuously transported by means of the hanger of an overhead conveyor 1. A lifter carriage 5 is transported by means of a floor loop conveyor 4. Further, the lifter carriage 5 with the chasis parts of the body 3 loaded thereon is lifted in the horizontal condition. The lifter carriage 5 and the hanger 5 are connected together and synchronously moved. Meanwhile, respective sorts of devices 100-400 to position the chasis parts against the body 5 are arranged. An automatic assembling zone of the chasis parts against the body is arranged on the overlapped part of the overhead conveyor 1 and the floor loop conveyor 4, and a back-up zone with operators is arranged on the succeeding part.</p> |
