<p>A method is described for the simultaneous making of a series of transmission belts, as well as a machine to implement said method. The method specifies that each belt 24 is subjected, prior to stamping, to a pretensioning at maximum value, being a function of its conformation and composition, which is maintained for the entire period of stamping. The machine comprises stationary means 18, 14 of locking the belts 24, associated at a predetermined distance with movable means 26, 30 of locking the belts 24. For each of the movable locking means 26, 30 there are provided means 38 to control their displacement, which are activated until such time as each belt 24 is subjected to a pretensioning of maximum value, being a function of its conformation and composition. Between the stationary and the movable locking means are provided means 44 for stamping the belts 24. The means of control 38 of the movements of the movable locking means are kept activated to maintain the belts at their maximum pretensioning for the entire period of time necessary for the stamping of the belts 24.
