PURPOSE: To provide the winding device and method of a web capable of fixing the rear edge end part of the web without loosening the tension of the web. CONSTITUTION: This web winding device is provided with the sources 16, 18 and 20 of the web 14, a first frame 12, a rotation means 30 for a spool, a second frame 22 or the like and operation means 24 and 26 for bringing the second frame closer to or away from the rotary shaft of the spool. Further, it is provided with a guide means for guiding the web in the direction of the spool, a roller means 138 engaged with the layer of the outermost side of the spiral of the web, a pressing means 158 for pressing the roller means to the layer of the outermost side of the spiral to be in contact and an application means 28 for applying an adhesive tape piece to the rear edge end part of the web, etc. |
