PURPOSE:To obtain the novel multiplication factor separated and purified from the homogenate of blood cells or vital tissues with chromatography useful for liver-regenerating medicines used after the partial enucleation of a liver, hepatic disease-therapeutic medicines, carcinostatic agents, wound therapeutic medicines, diagnostic medicines for various kinds of diseases. CONSTITUTION:A single strand polypeptide having an estimated mol.wt. of 82000+ or -5000 dalton by SDS-PAGE under a non-reducing condition, an estimated mol.wt. of 92000+ or -5000 dalton by SDS-PAGE under a reducing condition, and multiplying primarily cultured parenchyma cells is separated and purified from the homogenate of blood cells or vital tissues by the use of at least one of ion exchange chromatography, pigment affinity chromatography, lectin affinity chromatography, heparin affinity chromatography, hydrophobic chromatography, adsorbing chromatography, reversed phase chromatography, etc., to provide the matured hepatic parenchyma cell-multiplying factor useful for liver regeneration-stimulating medicines, etc. |
