PURPOSE:To obtain constitution preventing the deflection of an emitting direction caused by the wettability of the member forming the emitting orifice of an ink jet recording head without generating the lowering of a production yield or emission inferiority. CONSTITUTION:A hydrophobic member 4 is formed at the leading end of a substrate 1 provided with an electrothermal converter 2 for generating heat energy for emission and the recessed part constituting member 6 forming an ink passage 9 or a common liquid chamber 12 is formed from a hydrophobic material. By this constitution, the peripheral surface 11 of the emitting orifice 7 formed to the leading end of a recording head is formed from a hydrophobic material. |
