PURPOSE:To provide a new compound having an absorption band in a long wavelength range, a high solubility in an org. solvent and useful as near-infrared absorbing material, etc. CONSTITUTION:The compound of formula I [R<1> and R<2> are 3-10C alkyl or (substd.) phenyl] e.g. 4,5-octakis-anilino-(3,6-octakis-phenylthio) oxyvanadiumphthalocyanine. The compound is obtained by reacting a compound of formula II with a thiol compound of formula III. |
