PURPOSE:To obtain a peptide having an amino acid sequence represented by the sequence number 1 of a sequence table, an inhibitory activity against prolyl endopeptidase, and a mol.wt. of <=10,000 dalton. CONSTITUTION:A peptide containing an amino acid sequence represented by Ser-Xaa-Xaa-Xaa-Lys-Xaa-Xaa-Xaa among peptides having a mol.wt. of 10,000. The peptide has an inhibitory activity against prolyl endopeptidase and the same peptide is also contained in a peptide originated from bovine histon H3, which also exhibits the inhibitory activity against the prolyl endopeptidase. |
