PURPOSE:To production an exhaust gas purifying catalyst imparted with superior NOx purification activity in a high oxygen concentration atmosphere and also improved in heat resistance. CONSTITUTION:In the production of a catalyst of a catalyst comprising a noble active seed supported on a metal-containing silicate, the above catalyst after supported is treated with sulfuric acid or the metal-containing silicate before the noble metal active seed being supported is treated with sulfuric acid. Thus since a new acid point is formed at the obtained catalyst device, the catalyst performance allowing HC to burn decompose NOx and the resistance are improved. |
