A cross-country ski binding, in particular a hiking ski binding and/or Telemark binding, consists of a toe iron (10), which can be mounted on the top surface of a ski and has side parts (11) and sole catches (12) for receiving and supporting the front part of the sole of a ski boot at the side, at the front and at the top, and of a tensioning cable (14) which can be guided around the boot heel, coupled to a tensioning mechanism (13) and with which the ski boot can be fixed to the toe iron (10) in such a way that the boot heel or the heel of the cross-country skier can be lifted from the top surface of the ski during cross-country skiing or ski hiking. The tensioning cable (14) is also assigned a device (15) for varying its effective length. Furthermore, part of the tensioning cable (14) is replaced by a tension spring (16, 17). A tensioning lever (17), which can be supported on the boot sole, is pivotably mounted on the part (18) of the tensioning cable (14) which can be guided around the boot heel, the pivot axis (20) extending parallel to the tensioning cable (14, 18). <IMAGE> |
