The protective suit consists of supple and impermeable overalls in two sections (1a,1b) joined by a sliding sealed fastener (2). The upper section forms a hood (3) equipped with a transparent visor (4) and a respirator mask (5) connected to a regulator on the outside of the suit, linked via a supply pipe (7) to a gas bottle carried by the wearer.A rigid protective helmet (8), covering the major part of the wearer's head, is incorporated inside the hood. The hood has a movable guard (9) on the outside and covering the gas feed regulator (6). The helmet (8) is in two hinged halves (10a, 10b) attached to the front and back portions of the hood.
