PURPOSE:To provide a positron computer tomography system comprising small number of detectors in which effective visual view is widened while making uniform the sampling density. CONSTITUTION:In a positron computer tomography system comprising at least a pair of detectors 10a, 10b disposed oppositely with each detector comprising a plurality of gamma-ray detecting elements 11, and a stage 20 for placing a specimen in the center of visual view of the detector, a rotary drive motor for rotating one or both of the detector and the specimen stage relatively about the center of visual view is provided and the center line CL connecting the centers of the detectors disposed oppositely is spaced apart by a predetermined distance from the center of visual view.
