PURPOSE:To provide a nitrogen oxide detecting element of high heat resistance and high selectivity and a highly efficient nitrogen oxide detection-decomposition device. CONSTITUTION:A substrate 3 has heat resistance, a thin film 1 of a fluorene species having selectivity to gas doping is provided as a gas-sensitive material, and the electrical conduction of the film 1 is measured by electrodes 2. A thin film of a fluorene species is provided on the substrate near the detecting element; the thin film is optically excited by a light source, thereby a nitrogen oxide decomposing part taking a means to decompose the nitrogen oxide is provided, and thus a nitrogen oxide detection-decomposition is composed. |
