PREFERENTIAL COMMUNICATION CONTROL METHOD AND NETWORK REPEATER FOR NETWORK SYSTEM

PURPOSE:To provide a preferential communication control method and network repeater for network system so as to reduce a connection loss due to the fact that the number of line wires in the network repeater is less than the number of extensions. CONSTITUTION:When all the line wires connected to a communication network 1 are occupied and the communication using the line wires can not be newly performed from terminals 51 to 5n, a priority communication control means 13 judges whether the communication is switched from the terminal under connecting to the terminal at higher priority by comparing the connection priority of terminals 51 to 5n stored in a memory 11. When the priority communication control means 13 judges the switching of communication, a communication interruption control means 15 informs and responds communication interruption control information concerning communication interruption with the opposite terminal under connection. When the response of switching is received by the communication interruption control means 15, a communication interruption executing means 16 temporarily stops communication with the already connected terminal.
