PURPOSE:To obtain data for photometry and the focus control of an image pickup lens, etc., for each block set inside a photographing area. CONSTITUTION:The data for indicating a subject are outputted from a CCD 6 and luminance signals are generated in an Y signal synthesis circuit 12 through circuits 7, 8 and 9, converted to digital luminance data and supplied to a gate array 20. In the gate array 20, the luminance data are added for each block, outputted with the block as a unit and supplied to a CPU 15. Only the unsaturated required data within the luminance data for each block are selected and a photometric value is calculated. From the calculated photometric value, diaphragm 4 and the shutter of the CCD 6 are controlled. |
