The derailleur operating lever is positioned on an axle (4) attached to a support fixed under the horizontal part and in the centre of a guide hanger (2). The arm forming the lever (5') deviates from a point near to the pivot point (4) from the straight theoretical line (x-x').This deviation lengthens the described curve to a dimension allowing it to wind around the hanger, leaving the pivot point situated under the hanger. The end shoulder is then placed where it would have been situated, if the lever arm had followed a straight line from the pivot point to the pivot point with the shoulder contact.
