METHOD AND CIRCUIT DEVICE FOR OPTIMIZATION OF EDITING IN RECORDER

PURPOSE: To optimize automatic editing by effectively discriminating the rocking of an error tracking rf amplitude and the roking of rf amplitude by means of the fluctuation of a frequency caused by the fluctuation of a recording data pattern. CONSTITUTION: The output of a peak level detecting equipment 130 is a pair of signals corresponding to the peak rf amplitudes pf a reproducing head 112 and a recording head 124 and given to a microprocessor 142 with an A/D converter 138. The microprocessor 142 calculates the two peak rf amplitudes and gives a correcting signal corresponding to the inverse number of the difference of them. The correcting signal being the measurement value of a pattern sensitivity is supplied to a D/A converter 148 so as to change the gain of an amplifier 128 and to remove the influence of the pattern sensitivity. Therefore, the signal usage possible from the amplifier 128 depends on only the tracking fluctuation and the correct tracking of the recording head is given in a value indicating a corresponding control track position before an actual editing function.
