ELECTRONIC PART MOUNTING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To enable an electronic part to be always accurately mounted at a part mounting station by a method wherein a part detecting station is provided at a point located on a path from a part feeding station to a part mounting station. CONSTITUTION:A part detector 11 is installed at a part detecting station S4. The part detector 11 is composed of a light 117 and a line sensor 118 which are provided inside a U-shaped main body 116 confronting each other. It is detected by the line sensor 118 if an electronic part 8 sucked by a suction nozzle 13 is kept in a certain range of height as prescribed or not. When it, is detected that the part 8 is not properly held, it is stored in a control which controls a part mounting head 6, and the part 8 concerned is discharged out later at a defective discharge station S. Therefore, an electronic part can be always precisely mounted at a part mounting station.
