Composite of hydraulic binder and lignocellulosic granulate

A composite of hydraulic binder and lignocellulosic granulate has dimensional variations of at most 1 mm per linear metre, a vol. mass of 800-1200 kg/m<3> and a mechanical resistance under compression of 3.5-8 MPa. Also claimed are: (a) the prepn. of the above composite by (i) physically and opt. chemically treating the lignocellulosic material to obtain a material which is free of fibres and has a size of below 1 mm; (ii) superficially impregnating, by pulverisation, with an organic material, in soln. or suspension, or a mineral suspension in organic or aq. phase to give at most 20 wt. % of mass deposited on the granulate; (iii) adding the binder; (iv) incorporating a mineral filler(s) and mixing; and (v) introducing water to hydrate the binder and opt. adding organic filler(s) and continuing to mix; and (b) construction materials mfd. from the composite.
