<p>PURPOSE:To provide a prepaid card that is hard to be forged and also to provide a processor of the card. CONSTITUTION:A prepaid card 1 includes a basic track 2 where a prescribed random number and the balance information are written and a frequency track 3 where the balance information is written. The track 3 contains plural sectors 4 which are punched when the balance exceeds a prescribed range. When the card 1 is used, the random number and the balance information are read out of the track 2 and the corresponding track 3 and sector 4 are specified by a means which permits a transaction when the coincidence is secured between the balance information on both tracks 2 and 3. Furthermore a means is added to update the balance of the track 2 and the sector 4 as long as these balance are kept within a prescribed balance range together with a means which writes the new balance in the track 2 when the balance exceeds its prescribed range, calculates the corresponding track 3 and sector 4 by each prescribed operation to write the new balance in these track 3 and sector 4, and punches the old sector 4.</p> |
