<p>The invention relates to hydrodynamic bearings with lobes. It consists in producing the lobes on the rotor part, either directly on the shaft, or on a piece forming a ring and attached and made secure to the said shaft by any known means. In the example shown, the lobes 3, which are three in number, are asymmetric and machined on a ring 1 made secure to the rotor 2. It can be noted that each lobe defines together with the bore of the stator part 4 and the front 5 of the lobe, a converging zone 6. At the base of each lobe there is made a groove 7 which is parallel to the axis of the shaft constituting the rotor. This arrangement offers the significant advantage of only requiring a simple boring of the stator. <IMAGE></p> |
