PURPOSE:To prepare a document for presentation on the document preparing device, used for the preparation of the document for presentation, by automatically editing only the contents of a necessary area in a normal original and converting the characters and graphic to easy-to-see size. CONSTITUTION:A document image held by a document image holding means 11 is divided by an area dividing means 12 into logically meaningful areas and an area extracting means 13 extracts only necessary areas among the divided areas. A layout determining means 14 determines an enlargement/ reduction rate of each extracted area by referring to internal form data. An output image generating means 15 converts the size of each area according to the enlargement/reduction rate and generates an output image. |
