To coat a transparent carrier plate, such as of acrylic glass, a colour layer is applied to the embossing film before the roller embossing action. During roller embossing, the colour layer is applied to the carrier plate together with the embossing film.Also claimed is an embossing film with an active layer, especially metallic, and a heat-setting adhesive layer.
