Propeller stream deflection arrangement for ship engine test specimen

The deflection arrangement, which is detachably mounted on a ship, consists of a wall (1) substantially enclosing the propeller and a base connected to the wall. It deflects the wake of the propeller so that it is guided back to the suction side of the propeller. The wall is pref. torsionally and flexurally stiff and in the shape of an inwardly open channel. It consists of a wall carrier system and a connected outer skin (6) of plastic, metal or textile connected to flexurally and torsionally stiff, pref. buoyant, parts forming a frame (7).
