The air inlet passage (20) connecting pressure chamber (16) to the air inlet side of the position controller (22) and the vent passage (32) connecting the return chamber (18) to the exhaust side of the position controller are both integrally contained in the walls of a connecting part (24) and the membrane housing (10,12).Part of the inlet passage and vent passage may be formed by the holes of a connection block (28) between the position controller and membrane housing. A plate (30) can be turned through 180 deg. to reverse the connections to the membrane chambers.
