Electromagnetic drive with magnet yoke carrying electromagnetic coil

The drive has a magnetic armature opposite to the magnet yoke and movable towards the yoke against a spring force. The facing surfaces of the yoke and armature are parallel for mutual abutting, orthogonal to the movement axis. At least one working point of the stroke characteristic (11) of the armature is adjustable over the current strength of the coil.The spring (9) characteristic is progressively adjusted similarly to the stroke force characteristic, but is steeper, while both characteristics attain their highest values at the the smallest air gap (8). Pref. a curved, or with curved sections fitted spring is inserted in the air gap between the armature (4) and yoke (3).
