The water hydrant incorporates a spindle nut (7). The axial movability of the nut is limited by a stop (16) in a direction towards the cover (2). The nut may be loosened from the stop, to extract the internal spindle/valve unit (5).The axial guide for the spindle nut is formed by noses (11), engaging into guide grooves (10) in the inner wall of the jacket tube (1). The grooves are closed at the top ends, to form the stops. There are also open grooves, which are offset relative to the closed ones, and are connected to them.
