The invention concerns a cutter link (31) for a saw chain, comprising a base member (36) having holes (34, 35) therethrough for connecting links together by means of pintles (13); a raker (42) formed at the forward end of said base member (36) above said holes (34, 35) and having a rearwardly facing end (44); and a body (37) formed rearwardly of said raker (42) and spaced therefrom, the forward end (41) of said body (37) having a cutting edge which is generally round and facing the rearwardly facing end (44) of said raker (42), said cutting edge being of generally the same shape as said rearward facing end (44) of said raker (42).
