<p>High performance composite material for dental and medical use and process for its production. The subject of the invention is a high performance composite material especially for dental and medical use, of the type having fibrous reinforcements and mineral fillers inserted in a thermohardening organic matrix. The composite material is characterized in that it comprises following starting constitutents: a liquid phase comprising an acrylic modified polyurethane type resin and a coupling agent, and a solid phase comprising fillers composed of quartz, fibres and silica and a plasticizer. The proportion, as a percentage by weight of the total liquid phase + solid phase, of said solid phase is capable of attaining approximately 80 %, while the proportion of the resin in the liquid phase is in the region of 25 to 30 % of the total liquid phase and the proportions of quartz and fibres in the solid phase are respectively in the region of 50 to 70 % and 3 to 7 % of the total solid weight. Application especially in dental and medical use.</p> |
