<p>Aq. ink jet ink comprises (A) a pigment dispersion; (B) an aq. carrier medium; and (C) cosolvent combination of (i) at leat 4.5 (pref. 4.5-25) wt.% (based on the total compsn.) of a polyol-alkylene oxide condensate of formula (I), having water solubility at least 4.6% at 25 deg. C; and (ii) at least 2 (pref. 2-25) wt.% (based on total compsn.) of a cyclic amide of formula (II), having water solubility at least 4.5% at 25 deg. C. Wt. ratio (i):(ii) is 1-10:10-1, pref. 1-4:4-1. In (I) and (II), L X is H or Me; R is H, Me, Et, C3H7, C4H9 or -CH2O(CH2CH2O)e H; b is 0 or 1; a+b+f(c+e) b is 0 or 1; a+b+f(c+e) is 2-100 (pref. 10-40); f is 1-6; n is 3-7 (pref. 3-5); R1 is H or 1-4C alkyl (opt. contg. one or more OH or either gps.); x is 0-3; and X1 is 1-4C alkyl (opt. contg. one ore more OH or other gps.), replacing H on the ring if m = 1-3.</p> |
