Method of generating power with high efficiency by the use of two burners, comprising the following stages: compressing the air to a pressure between 5 and 32 bar; further compressing a portion of the compressed air, not more than half, to a pressure between 25 and 130 bar; feeding the portion of air that has been further compressed to a first substoichiometric burner in which a fuel is burned that has a pressure slightly higher than that of the air that was further compressed, producing a gas of low calorific value; feeding the remaining portion of air not further compressed to a second burner in which the gas produced by the first substoichiometric combustion is burned, after having been expanded in a turbine to a pressure slightly higher than that of said remaining portion of air, so as to produce smoke with a temperature not higher than that of the gas with low calorific value, which is expanded in a second turbine until it reaches atmospheric pressure.

|
