PURPOSE:To provide ink jet recording paper similar to wood free paper in appearance and touch, having a high ink blottability in a color ink jet recording system and obtaining an image good in density, resolving power and color forming properties. CONSTITUTION:In ink jet recording paper composed of base paper based on cellulose pulp, cellulose pulp is pulp fibers carrying a water-insoluble or hardly soluble inorg. matter (e.g; silica-carrying pulp) and the content of the inorg. matter is set to 5-35% by wt. of base paper (e.g; basis wt.: 74g/m<2>). |
