NEW PROTEASE

摘要

PURPOSE:To obtain a new protease useful in decomposition or synthesis of benzyloxycarbonyl-alpha-L-aspartyl-L-phenylalanine methyl ester. CONSTITUTION:A variant protease in which 144th leucine residue from amino ends, 150th aspartic acid residue and/or 187th glutamic acid residue in thermolysin-like neutral metal protease having an amino acid sequence of the formula are replaced with other amino acid residues. This protease is obtained by introducing other amino acid residues into 144th, 150th and/or 187th positions of wild type themolysin-like neutral metal protease by a gene recombination method.
