OIL PRESSURE RELIEF MECHANISM FOR POWER STEERING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To cope with factor change such as the change of a gear ratio by the simple change of parts or the like in the oil pressure relief mechanism for a power steering. CONSTITUTION:An input shaft 2 forming a servo valve is provided with a worm 23. A cylindrical sleeve 11 is provided at a part of a housing 5 and near the part provided with the worm 23. This sleeve 11 is provided with communicating passages 111, 111' connected to a supply port 51 and a discharge port 52. A shaft 12 with a worm wheel 13 to be meshed with the worm 23 is provided in the sleeve 11. The outer peripheral part of the shaft 12 is provided with cutout grooves 121 in such a way as to correspond to the communicating passages 111, 111'. The change of a steering system can be thereby coped with by changing the width of the cutout grooves 121 provided on the shaft 12. The shafts 12 with different groove widths are therefore prepared, and the factor change can be coped with only by changing these shafts 12.
