SELF HEAT-GENERATION TYPE HONEYCOMB FILTER

PURPOSE:To provide a honeycomb filter having high resistance ratio and low capacity compatibly, obtaining both the decrease in heat conduction and the durability and performing temperature rise to a sufficient temperature with a conserved electric power. CONSTITUTION:In a self heat-generation type catalyst converter 1 which is arranged in a exhaust path of an engine and where sheets 2 and corrugated sheets 3 are laminated before they are wound, the 1st slit part and the 2nd slit part having openings are formed between an upstream side edge 1a and a downstream side edge 1b in the sheets 2 and the corrugated sheets 3. And the 1st slit part and the 2nd slit part are heat generated by causing electric current to flow between the upstream side edge 1a and the downstream side edge 1b.
