PURPOSE:To concurrently display the speed information for multiple observation points by transmitting and receiving ultrasonic waves to multiple observation points in the preset sequence, and obtaining the speed information of multiple observation points. CONSTITUTION:Three observation points (a), (b), (c) across a constriction portion are set on a tomographic image 10 by an observation point setting means 70, and a transmission/reception control means 80 controls a transmitting circuit 1 and a receiving circuit 3 so that ultrasonic pulse beams are transmitted and received to these three points in the preset sequence. An arithmetic means 90 obtains the bloodstream speed information for the observation points (a), (b), (c) respectively. A display control means 100 controls a display circuit 6 so that the bloodstream speed information at the observation points (a), (b), (c) obtained by the arithmetic means 90 is concurrently displayed for the observation points (a), (b), (c) on a display screen. The bloodstream speeds at the specific time can easily be compared. If the bloodstream speed Vb at the observation point (b) is larger than either of the bloodstream speeds Va, Vc at the observation points (a), (c) on both sides, the existence of a constriction at the observation point (b) can be easily diagnosed. |
