PURPOSE:To obtain a strengthened solid lubricant composite low in friction coefficient and to provide a process for producing the same by using a solid lubricant. CONSTITUTION:A solid lubricant powder is prepared from graphite and a salt of phosphoric acid. Sodium boron hydride or dimethylamine/borane as a reducing agent is used to form coating films of at least one metal selected from among nickel, iron, cobalt and copper on the surface of the solid lubricant powder. After drying, the solid lubricant powder with the metal coating films formed on the surfaces thereof is press-molded into a molded form, which is then fired in a vacuum furnace to produce a solid lubricant composite. |
