<p>PURPOSE:To enable executing an efficient meandering control by considering only rolling load difference generated by meandering as a meandering controlling arithmetic input of a meandering controller and suppressing noise amplification action of differential control by a differential signal smoothing device. CONSTITUTION:An amount of rolling down leveling is operated by a rolling load difference between the operating side and the driving side of a rolling mill through the proportional and differential control law in a meandering control device 7. A physical model computing element 11 for estimating an effect to the rolling load from an output signal for controlling roll-down leveling and a differential signal smoothing device 10 for reducing a noise amplification effect by differential operation are incorporated in this device 7. An amount of effect estimated by the physical model from the output signal for controlling roll-down leveling is subtracted from a rolling load difference DELTAP, only the rolling load difference DELTAP1 generated by meandering is inputted into meandering control operation of the meandering controller 7 and the differential control noise amplification action is suppressed by the differential signal smoothing device 10. In this way, the leading phase action by differential control can be secured fully.</p> |
