<p>PURPOSE:To provide a method and apparatus for anaerobic treatment in a UASB method in which pelletized sludge, even when it floats, returns to a reaction vessel restoring its sedimentation so that a sludge concentration in the vessel is kept high to enable the highly efficient treatment. CONSTITUTION:In an anaerobic treatment in which pelletized sludge containing anaerobic microorganisms is placed in an anaerobic reaction vessel 1 and organic drainage is passed in an upward current from an inflow part 2 for water to be treated which is installed at the bottom to form a sludge blanket 13 for an anaerobic reaction, the drainage having passed through the sludge blanket 13 is introduced to a solid-liquid sepation part 9 to be separated from liquid. The floating pelletized sludge removed from a foating sludge removal part 16 is crushed by a crusher 18 and is returned to a reaction part 10 for anaerobic treatment.</p> |
