PURPOSE:To provide a method for preventing drop of a mold of a tire vulcanizing machine which ensures prevention of drop of the whole or a part of a top force. CONSTITUTION:A method for preventing drop of a mold which is applied to a tire vulcanizing machine equipped with a top force 11 and a bottom tool 12, an elavating means 16 for separating the top force 11 from the bottom tool 12 and elevating it along a press frame 13 and a loader 2 being turnable outside the machine from the central position of the mold and elevatable, and the method for preventing drop of the mold of the tire vulcanizing machine 1 wherein a drop preventing plate 36 for the top force 11 is carried from outside the machine to a stopper 37 located at a prescribed position for a press frame 12 by using the aforesaid loader 2.
