PURPOSE:To provide a pneumatic tire for a heavy vehicle by which a stone can be discharged effectively even if the stone bites in a groove at travel time and which is excellent in stone bite preventive effect. CONSTITUTION:An inclination of an outside inclined surface 1c is set not less than an inclination of an inside inclined surface 1b so that tire radial directional widths of the first and the second platforms 2 and 3 arranged on the groove bottom 1a in half pitch of a main groove 1 and the third platform 4 are different from each other and the inside close to the groove bottom 1a becomes narrower than the outside. Thereby, resiliency to a biting stone can be increased.
